How do I return or exchange an item?
We sincerely want you to be happy with your order, so there are a few ways we can help you return or exchange an item within 30 days of your purchase. To request a return or exchange online, please fill out one of the forms below. You can also reach us at 866-909-8378 between 8:00am - 5:00pm MT or by emailing email@example.com, and we will set you up with an RMA # (Return Merchandise Authorization). For international orders, please note that you are responsible for all shipping costs related to the exchanged item(s).
For returns and exchanges, who pays for shipping?
For returns, you are responsible for paying the shipping to return your unwanted garment back to our warehouse.
For exchanges, you are responsible for paying the shipping to get the original garment sent to our warehouse, and we will gladly cover the ground shipping cost to get the new product shipped to you for domestic orders. For international orders you will be responsible for the return shipping on your exchange as well as the shipment cost for the exchanged item.
If I used a promo code, may I still request a return or exchange?
Yes! Unless your promo code was marked as FINAL SALE, your order is eligible for a return or exchange.
Why can't I return or exchange outlet items?
We want to give you the best possible price on our outlet items. By marking outlet items as final sale, we can eliminate any extra costs and pass the savings onto you.
I received my item, but it is defective. What can I do?
We are truly sorry to hear that you found a problem with your SCOTTeVEST garment. We take a lot of pride in what we do, so it pains us to hear that everything is not perfect. We stand behind the quality of our products, but sometimes mistakes happen. When they do, we are happy to replace your defective item within two years of the purchase date. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and a brief explanation, or call 866-909-8378 between 8:00am - 5:00pm MT.
How long does a return/exchange take?
Once we receive the returned item(s), it takes 1-2 business days to process the exchange or refund. Once a refund is processed, it may take 2-7 business days to be reflected in your account. If you requested an exchange, we ship any replacement items with ground shipping (unless you specify a different method), which can take 1-3 business days for delivery.
Can I return more than one order at the same time?
Yes! You will need an RMA # for each order you are returning or exchanging, but you can ship the returns and exchanges to our warehouse in the same package. To request a return or exchange online, please fill out one of the forms below. Can I return or exchange an item I purchased from a reseller?
Unfortunately, we are unable to process returns or exchanges from our resellers. Please contact the reseller where you made your purchase. All of our resellers are committed to providing excellent customer service!
What is your product warranty?
We have a two-year defective warranty period, which covers issues such as defective zippers, missed stitches and other defects. We offer defective garment replacement as well as reimbursement for repairs (we do not offer in-house repairs). This warranty does not cover accessories or general wear and tear (for example, rips caused by catching your SCOTTeVEST garment on something sharp).
When will my order ship?
Orders placed before 11:00am MT Monday through Friday will ship the same day. Orders placed after 11:00am MT Monday through Friday or over the weekend will ship out the next business day. Shipping days officially start the day after your package is picked up. For example, if your item is picked up on a Monday, then Tuesday would be the first day of shipping.
When will my order arrive?
Our domestic shipping options include:
- USPS First-Class, for orders less than 1 pound (2-4 days in transit, excluding Sunday)
- USPS Priority Ground (1-3 days in transit, excluding Sunday)
- USPS Priority Express (1-2 days in transit)
- UPS Next Day Air, cannot deliver to PO boxes (next business day after it ships, excluding Saturday and Sunday)
If you need your SCOTTeVEST the day after your order processes, we highly recommend you choose UPS Next Day Air and place your order before 11am MT. If you need your SCOTTeVEST soon, but not the day after your order, we suggest you select USPS Priority Express.
How do you ship your orders?
All domestic and international orders are shipped with either USPS or UPS. You can choose either option at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship internationally to most countries. Our international shipping options include:
- USPS Priority - Delivery takes 6 to 10 business days not including customs processing time
- USPS Express - Delivery takes 3 to 5 business days not including customs processing time
- UPS Worldwide Expedited - Delivery takes 2 to 5 business days not including customs processing time
- UPS Worldwide Express - Delivery takes 1 to 3 business days not including customs processing time

How do I track my order?
You will receive an email with your tracking information by the end of the day once your order ships.
Will I be charged sales tax?
Certain states require us to charge sales tax due to the location of our warehouses. Those states are: AZ, CA, ID, IL, IN, KY, MA and TN.
How much is shipping?
US Ground Shipping is free for orders over $200.00 and $8.00 for orders under $200.00. Click here for more international shipping information and expedited shipping rates.
Do you ship to APO addresses?
Yes, we offer shipping to military addresses. When entering your shipping address, please select US Military-APO for the "country." We take our military orders to the post office and ship them via USPS on a regular schedule.
Lost or Damaged in shipping!
If your package is damaged, please retain all packaging and bring it to your closest post office to report the damage.
We will start the investigation with the courier, and get a replacement to you.
Your cooperation is required to complete the claim, and while your involvement is kept at a minimum, USPS will contact you for additional information.
How do I determine my size?
All our products include a sizing chart that provides body measurement specifications and information on how to measure. If you need additional sizing help, please click here to sign up for a personal shopper appointment, and we will be happy to walk you through sizing to make sure you get the best fit.
I am between sizes, what should I do?
If you are between sizes, we suggest that you order the larger size. This will allow you to put even more gear in your pockets and still have some breathing room.
Are your products designed to accommodate my electronics?
Of course! We've designed each product to comfortably hold your electronic gadgets and any other items you may need to carry.

What is the PAN system? How do I wire the PAN system in my SCOTTeVEST?
Our patented Personal Area Network (PAN) system provides a network of hidden conduits to connect wires to devices while they are in your pockets. All SCOTTeVEST products (including our pants) have some form of the PAN. Our jackets, pullovers, shirts, hoodies and even our hats have special elastic loops to keep your earbuds within easy reach. What materials do you use in your products?
We use a variety of different materials to make our products. We carefully select each material to ensure that they are the best choices for the style of garment. You can find the fabric content on each product page, underneath the product photo.
Where are SCOTTeVEST products made?
We have been using the same factories since the beginning of SCOTTeVEST and are confident in the quality of their work. Our products are made primarily in China so that we can get the high quality you expect while still providing you with the most competitive prices.
What is a ClearTouch pocket? How can I clean it?
A ClearTouch pocket is made from material specifically designed to let you use your touchscreen device without removing it from your pocket. To clean these pockets, we recommend a 10:1 warm water to white vinegar blend so it doesn't damage the material.
Do fingerprint scanners work through ClearTouch pockets?
No. In order to unlock your phone or touchscreen device with a fingerprint scanner, you will need to remove the device from the ClearTouch pocket.
What is the Weight Management System?
The Weight Management System (WMS) allows you to comfortably carry your belongings in your SCOTTeVEST products. Both the design and the fabrics used in the shoulder area create an even distribution of weight from your devices, allowing you to carry more than you could in a laptop bag. In our pants and shorts, the design allows for comfortable weight distribution and a streamlined appearance.

Shh! It’s a secret. Some SCOTTeVEST products do have secret pockets, but if we told you where they were, they wouldn't be secret, would they? If you need a hint, contact us at 866-909-8378 between 8:00am - 5:00pm MT and we will whisper you the location.
What do I put in my pockets?
Here at SCOTTeVEST, we have a saying “A pocket is what you make it.” That being said, we do give some guidelines. On our vests and jackets, you'll notice embroidered logos that indicate what you can put in that pocket.
How do I find the pocket map for my SCOTTeVEST?
On our website, there is an interactive pocket map for each product with examples of what can fit in your SCOTTeVEST. A pocket map is also included with every product you order, and some of our products have the pocket map printed on the eyeglass chamois.
Do you make custom sizes?
Unfortunately, we are unable to produce custom sizes or products. Since our products are so technically engineered, with each size created and sampled strenuously by our technical designer, we are unable to fill custom orders.
- Do you make products in tall sizes? What about Petite or larger sizes?
How do I care for my SCOTTeVEST?
While all SCOTTeVEST products are machine washable, some of them require a little extra care. Before you launder your SCOTTeVEST, please refer to the product page or the white care-tag for instructions. SCOTTeVEST cannot be held liable for damage caused due to improper care.
What is an infinity zipper?
It’s a zipper that never stops! This feature is currently available on our Chloe and Chloe Glow Hoodies. This zipper eliminates the need for drawstrings and can be fully zipped up to serve as an impromptu bag.
What is the No-Bulge design?
We want you to be able to load up your SCOTTeVEST and not look like the Michelin Man. All SCOTTeVEST products use a HangingPocket design to create a streamlined look so items in your pockets do not create unsightly bulges.
Is there an easy way to compare products on the website?

I have a pacemaker, should I be concerned with magnets?
Magnets (like the magnetic fields from cell phones) may potentially interfere with pacemakers and similar medical devices. Although there have been no reported issues regarding this matter, if you have a pacemaker or similar medical device and choose to wear a product with magnets, you do so at your own risk. We assume no liability for injury or death due to a possible malfunction of any medical device. Please contact your physician for additional information and specific questions relating to magnets and your pacemaker or medical device. We have created a few garments without magnets so please contact us for our current list of these magnet-free items.
Will products with magnets affect my phone, credit card or hotel key?
We have tested our magnets on both credit cards and memory cards, and we have not experienced any issues with them. However, we have had a few isolated reports of our magnetic pocket closures erasing hotel room keys with a magnetic strip, so just in case, please place your hotel room keys away from the magnets in your SCOTTeVEST.
Are SCOTTeVEST products useful for airport travel?
Amazingly! That’s the magic of SCOTTeVEST garments. Just slip off your jacket or vest, lay it on the conveyor belt beside your shoes and proceed through the metal detector. Pick up your jacket or vest on the other side and be on your way. The TSA loves SCOTTeVEST.
What product has the most pockets?
With 42 pockets each, the Q.U.E.S.T. Vest for Men and the Q.U.E.S.T. Vest for Women have more pockets than any of our other products. These garments provide so many options to hold your belongings, you will experience Pocket Nirvana!
I don’t see the particular size/color that I would like on the website. Will it be available again?
Most likely yes. Our website shows our current inventory available for purchase, so if you don't see your size or color, please click the link on the product page to be notified when it is back in stock. You can also contact us to see when we will be re-stocking at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 866-909-8378 between 8:00am - 5:00pm MT.
Can your products be embroidered?
Yes. While we do not provide in-house embroidery, we have a third-party embroidery company that is very familiar with SCOTTeVEST products. If you are looking to place a large order and have it embroidered, please email email@example.com and we will provide you additional details.
Do you offer replacement parts?
Yes. If you have lost a sleeve, hood or keychain, gives us a call at 866-909-8378 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will arrange for you to get a replacement part.
Do you make products that accommodate concealed carry weapons?
We do! The Enforcer Jacket is our latest CCW jacket and is fully optimized for law enforcement and CCW holders. For women, our Annie Jacket also supports CCW holders. If you are looking for a vest, our Q.U.E.S.T. Vest for both men and women also accommodate CCW.
Do your pockets prevent pickpocketing?
We believe so! A lot of thought went into designing our products in order to prevent pickpockets, and we have backed up our products with a $1,000 pickpocket guarantee. For more details, click here.
I lost my wallet in my vest. It seems to be in the lining. How can I retrieve it?
We're sorry to hear you've lost an item in your SCOTTeVEST, but don't worry, you can get it back. It sounds as though your item has fallen into the space behind the lining that makes up the Personal Area Network. To access anything that may have gotten caught up in this pocket, just follow the instructions below:
- First, you will need to put your hand in the handwarmer pocket.
- Move your hand up the jacket until you reach the top of the lining.
- Move your hand over the dividing line to the inside of the jacket liner.
- When you move your hand down towards the bottom of your jacket, you should be able to retrieve the lost item.
